Lifehouse's Everything Skit

This video is a skit done to the song by Lifehouse called Everything. It so inspiring to go and fight for my relationship with GOD. Every time I watch it I want to cry because it is so true. If you are to show this to a youth group I would recommend 8th-12th graders only. Because there is cutting and attempted suicide in the skit. Overall the video is breath taking.

Yah I am now 21 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So on a normal 21st birthday one is expected to have their first drink or gamble. Well I choose to not par-take of either activity. The reason is that I felt that even though the bible doesn't say don't drink, it says don't get drunk. I still didn't want to even thought the bible doesn't forbid, because I want to be a good role model for the youth at the church I attend, because of the role I have in the group. So I spent the day with my mom, got my nails done, and went shopping. But on Saturday I am going to go bowling with my good friends.

Scripture reference for drinking: Proverbs 23:29-35

Bible Stuff and Tuff Stuff

Bible Stuff and Tuff Stuff are two video curriculum series from junior high pastor Kurt Johnston and Simply Youth Ministry. The Bible Stuff series digs into the Bible and puts a practical, relevant face on five deep biblical truths. The Tuff Stuff series tackles the hard questions on living life.

The youth ministry at Eastside Christian Church has used Bible stuff series and now currently working on the Tuff Stuff series. The youth have really enjoyed the series, because it covers great stories ( Jesus calms the storm) and topics ( Why does back stuff happen?). We decided to combine middle and high school for the series, because the curriculum is so great. It is so great that I even lear
ned something new from watching the videos. I really encourage you to check out Simply Youth Ministry website for more curriculum and resources .

Who is Sarah Lou?

I am a Christian, who is a Senior ( well in 3 weeks) at Oregon state University studying Human Development and Family Sciences. Once I graduate next spring I am planing on attending Western Seminary, of course only if it is Gods will. Currently I am a volunteer in Youth Ministry at the church I attend. But starting in June I will be the intern, which I am totally excited about. Because I have a passion for middle and high school students.

Welcome

Hello all, welcome to my blog. In this blog you will read about my adventures in life, and in youth ministry. Thank you for reading and I hope you will be blessed and inspired.
